ORA Coaching Requirements

Effective Beginning The 2016-2017 Season, The Following Coaching Qualifications Are Required:

U6, U7, U8, U9, U10 and U12 Regional Coaches
Requirement ‘Community Sport Initiation’ (CSI) Trained

-must complete the ‘Introduction to Coaching Ringette Clinic’ 
-must complete the ‘Community Sport Initiation’ clinic (CSI) 
-must complete the Making Ethical Decisions module (MED) 
-must complete the applicable Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation on the NCCP website

*U6, U7 and U8 only require Head Coach to be fully CSI Trained


U12 Provincial, U14, U16, U19 B, C, Rec. and all ‘A’ Level Coaches 
Requirement ‘Competition Introduction’ (CI) Trained 

-must complete the ‘Introduction to Coaching Ringette Clinic’ 
-must complete the ‘Competition Introduction’ clinic (CI) 
-must complete the Making Ethical Decisions module (MED) 
-must complete the applicable Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation on the NCCP website
*U14, U16, U19 B, C and Rec. Level Coaches who are CSI Trained will be required to be CI Trained by January 8, 2019.


U14AA, U16AA and U19AA Coaches
Requirement ‘Competition Introduction’ (CI) Certified

-must complete the ‘Introduction to Coaching Ringette Clinic’ 
-must complete the ‘Competition Introduction’ clinic (CI) 
-must complete the Making Ethical Decisions module (MED) 
-must complete the applicable Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation on the NCCP website


DATES:
  • Intro to Coaching, CI and CSI coaching courses must be completed by January 8, 2017.

  • All coaches must complete the Making Ethical Decisions Clinic by January 31, 2017.

  • All coaches must complete the applicable Making Ethical Decisions Evaluation on the NCCP website by January 31, 2017.

NOTES:
  • The 'Introduction to Coaching Ringette Clinic' is required by all new ringette coaches.
    Coaches who have completed the Ringette CI-1 or CSI course prior to 2015 already have this training component.

  • The Making Ethical Decisions module (MED)
    Coaches who have completed the Ringette CI-1 or CSI course prior to 2015 or other sport MED course already have this component but are still required to take the MED examination.
