2006 Canada Cup of Ringette
The inaugural Canada Cup of Ringette is scheduled for November 23-26, 2006, at the York University Ice Gardens in Toronto, Ontario. This event is designed to be a festival of ringette, celebrating and promoting all the great aspects of our sport. The ORA, National Ringette League and Team Ontario 2007 have all come together to showcase the best ringette Ontario and Canada has to offer in an all-ringette facility for four days in November.
Headlining the festival will be eight (8) of the top Provincial AAA teams from across Canada as they compete in final preparations for the 2007 Canada Winter Games. The National Ringette League will also be hosting their inaugural All-Star Challenge, as Ontario battles Quebec in a best-on-best 2 game series and Skills Competition. These two main events will be surrounded by a 70-team tournament, which will include Junior and Tween AA and Provincial Petite.
Outside of the games themselves, there will be on-ice player skills clinics, off-ice skills and coaching clinics, skills competitions for various divisions, off-ice booths and ringette demonstrations and various other activities unique to the Canada Cup.
