O.R.A. OPERATING MANUAL

Proposed changes to the Constitution of the O.R.A.

At last year's A.G.M. our membership approved a motion to allow an Athlete Representation on the Board of Directors for a one (1) year trial period.

At this year's A.G.M. the membership will be asked to vote on a motion to make the Athlete Representative a permanent role on the Board of Directors.

The following are the changes that have to be done to the Constitution to allow for this change to take place.

Page 4., 3. Board of Directors

To Read: The affairs of the Corporation shall be managed by a Board of twelve (12) Directors each of whom at the time of his election or appointment is within ten (10) days thereafter and throughout his term of office shall be registered as a Member of the Corporation.

Change: eleven (11) directors to twelve (12) Directors

Page 24. 1(e) The Charter Member Chair for Northwestern, Eastern and Southern Regions shall be elected in even numbered years; the Chair of Charter member Northeastern, Central and Western Regions shall be elected in odd numbered years. The Athlete Representative shall be appointed in even numbered years.

Change: adding last sentence "The Athlete Representative shall be appointed in even-numbered of years".

Page 25-2.b. In addition to the six (6) positions ex-officio there shall be five (5) members-at-large elected as directors of the Corporation and one (1) Athlete Representative who meets the criteria as set by the Board of Directors.

Change: (addition of "and one (1) Athlete who meets the criteria as set by the Board of Directors".

Page 33. - x) Athlete Development Committee

The Athlete Development Committee shall plan, implement and co-ordinate clinics, proposed resources for the development of which, recreation and participant skill develop.

Change: Athlete replaces the word "Sport".
