MEMBERSHIP NOTICE

REGISTRATION - NEW SYSTEM

As outlined in previous correspondence and Registration Procedures documentation, the Ontario Ringette Association has converted to a Microsoft Access based system.

One Association from each Region agreed to assist with testing the system for Electronic (floppy disk) processing last season, to ensure the system was problem free before releasing computer processing "en masse" to all Associations. This process will be available to all Associations this season.

For those choosing Electronic Registration you will receive 1) a CD-ROM with a run version of the database, 2) a Floppy Disk containing your association’s membership information and 3) a Manual instructing you on how to use the system.

MINIMUM HARDWARE CONFIGURATION

In order to install and operate the "Association Database" software we recommend the following minimum configuration:

Computer: Intel Pentium - 166 Processor (not AMD processor)

32Mb of RAM Memory

1.0Gb Hard Drive (minimum 74Mb available)

CD-ROM Drive

Super VGA Video Adapter - 4Mb

14" SVGA Color Monitor* (capable of 800x600 display)

2 Button Mouse

Windows ’95 or ’98 Installed

Printer: Laser Printer (i.e: HP LaserJet) (capable of printing legal size)

Or Quality Ink Jet Printer

* - This software will operate in 640x480 video mode, but we strongly recommend using the enhanced 800x600 mode for improved viewing of all display screens.

Please Note: The printer must be capable of printing "Legal Size" paper, so that you will be able to print the Team Registration Forms (TRFs).

You will still be required to fill out some forms manually. These are listed on the Electronic Registration Order Form.
