MEMBERSHIP NOTICE

TEAM ONTARIO – ONTARIO CHALLENGE CUP

Team Ontario, our Belle AAA representative at the Canada Winter Games, is hosting the Ontario Challenge Cup, December 18-20, 1998 at the York University Ice Gardens.

Belle AAA teams from Alberta, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Quebec, will be competing against Team Ontario and the Etobicoke Deb AA team in the Challenge Cup Division of the tournament. Team Ontario has already attended two (2) similar tournaments, taking Gold in Edmonton and Silver in Saskatoon. Alberta will be looking to repeat their Gold success at the 1994 Ontario Challenge Cup event. Quebec went to the final in the recent Winnipeg Tournament, while New Brunswick and Nova Scotia always ice very strong teams. The more experienced Etobicoke Deb AA team will prove to be a very formidable challenge for the Belle AAA Provincial teams.

A/AA Petite and Tween teams from throughout Ontario will also be competing at this event. 7 Petite teams and 6 Tween teams are registered. The results of games in these divisions will assist with determining seeding for the 1999 Provincial Ringette Championships.
