Marleen Crewdson is 18 years old and lives way up north in Thunder Bay. Firstly, she has to thank everyone involved with the North Western team, especially Lori Robbins, who agreed to coach them. If she hadn’t said yes, Marleen would have never had the opportunity to even tryout for Team Ontario!
Marleen has played ringette for the past eight years and believes she is the first player ever from North Western to make the provincial team. Making it as an alternate has been her greatest ringette accomplishment in her ringette career. This is the most talented ringette team she has ever been a part of and she has a blast every time she is on the ice.
Back in Thunder Bay Marleen is an OAC student at Hillcrest High School. She plays most high school sports, with her favourites being volleyball and basketball. She has been athlete of the year at Hill for the past three years, as well as an honour student. Marleen’s hobbies are playing sports, hanging out with friends, and going to the gym. She has an awesome supportive family and a great group of friends that are always there to cheer her on.
Marleen is very excited for the ringette season, and she expects it to be her best because she gets to work with great coaches and awesome teammates. She has high hopes for the success of her team and she will do everything she can to help keep Ontario ranked #1 in the country.
