JOSEE SUPRENANT
Josée is 16 years old and currently attends Ecole secondaire publique De La Salle in Ottawa. She is a member of the soccer and hockey team at her school. After graduation, Josée plans on attending the University of Ottawa. She will be taking her four year degree in commerce with the objective of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
At the age of 7, Josée began to play ringette. She developed her skating skills by joining the figure skating club for two years. When she turned those skills to ringette, she played at almost all positions. After a few years, Josée concentrated her development as an offensive, hard checking forward. Josée entered the competitive level as one of the small players but with the highest of determination.
Josée has participated at the Provincial Championships for the last six years. In 2002, Josée and her teammates competed at the national Championships in Saskatchewan. The Ontario team captured the bronze medal. A month earlier as a member of the Eastern Region team, they captured the Championship at the Ontario Winter Games. She will compete at the Canada Winter Games in Bathurst New Brunswick in February 2003 as a member of Team Ontario.
Josée spends her spare time with her friends. They enjoy beach volley ball, roller blading and other activities in the sun. When she wants to relax, she picks up a good book or contacts a friend to go to a movie.
