JESSICA BOERSMA

Jessica Boersma is 18 years old and is currently playing for the Waterloo Belle "AA" team.

Jessica started playing ringette at the age of five for Mitchell, where she lives. She played in Mitchell up to Tween. While playing "A" in Mitchell she won a silver in Petite at provincials. While playing for Huron Perth she won a silver in Petite and a bronze in Junior. It has always been a dream of Jessica’s to get the opportunity to play on Team Ontario, and now she is living it. When she was a Junior she had the opportunity to be picked up by Ottawa to go to Nationals in Prince George, B.C., where they won a bronze medal. For Jessica, it was an amazing experience. This journey that she is about to experience will even be comparable to the experience she had at Nationals.

Outside of ringette, Jessica enjoys playing baseball, beach volleyball, and hockey. In 2000 she played hockey on a team in Mitchell and they won the bronze at provincials, which was a great experience. She also loves shopping and hanging out with friends.

Jessica is currently working and after the Canada Winter Games she will be attending college to study cosmetology.
