Christina Mascherin

Christina Mascherin is 18 years old and plays for the Mississauga Belle "AA" team. She was born in Mississauga and has lived there all her life. She attends Holy Name of Mary Secondary School, an all-girls school, in Mississauga.

Christina started playing ringette when she was seven years old. In Petite, her team won the 1996 Provincial "AA" championships, which was quite a feat for her team because nobody expected them to win! Ever since she was a little girl, Christina has dreamed of representing Ontario at the Canada Winter Games. She is both thrilled and honoured to be a part of this year’s squad, and her goal is to help Team Ontario capture gold in New Brunswick.

Aside from ringette, Christina loves playing all kinds of sports, especially softball, beach volleyball, basketball, and throwing javelin. She has also been fortunate enough to participate in two U.S. N.S.A. softball world series with the Mississauga North Tigers. In her spare time (after all school work is completed, of course) she really enjoys hanging out with her friends and shopping at American Eagle.

After high school Christina hopes to attend University and study Kinesiology, with the hope of one day opening up a physiotherapy clinic.
