Provincial Builder Jane Larkworthy has been presented with the Award of Merit by the Canadian Standards Association. "The award of merit is CSA's way of recognizing each recipient's leadership, inspiration, and outstanding dedication to developing standards" says Suzanne Kiraly, President of Standards in the CSA. The award was presented by Julia Hill, chair of the board in Gatineau, Quebec.

Ringette Canada and the National Ringette League have agreed to allow players of third year U19 age (i.e. players born in 1991), to play in the National Ringette League during the 2009-2010 season. To receive consideration for a roster in the 2009-2010 season, players must identify themselves. To do so, players must register in the Future Players area of the National Ringette League web site.
